Progressive
proof – CAM service
The purpose of the progressive proof is to separate the colours
which make up your artwork in order to transpose them as a
negative onto transparent film. We produce one film per colour,
and this group of films is known as the stencil silk. The
final reproduction quality of the print depends directly on
the quality of this breakdown, so logically on the quality
of the document supplied. Each image is unique and requires
particular attention from this very first stage.
These days, image processing is fully computerised. Our team
of studio technicians can process digital storage media (CD-ROM,
diskettes, etc.) and original designs on paper. We have a
CAM studio in-house: your design is processed on a microcomputer
using dedicated software which enables us to obtain highly
precise printing material. It is finally broken down and printed
onto transparent films, based on the number of colours.
The films will enable the screens to be manufactured which
will later be used on the silkscreen printing machines. In
collaboration with the print shop, we select the screen mesh
best suited to the textile used. |
